COMP TEAMS (D3/D4 Division)

To participate on a comp team you must be selected at comp team tryouts which are held in early June for the next full year (Fall/spring). Tryouts are open to all eligible children. Each player must tryout every year - positions are not guaranteed from one year to the next.  If you plan to play on our Travel (D5) team, you should NOT tryout for a Comp team.

Tryouts usually run the first week in June and will include two tryout sessions per team. While a player only needs to attend one session, both are strongly encouraged.  Pre-registration is mandatory for tryouts.  Details will be posted on the website when finalized, emailed to everyone that has with an account on the website, and in the Rivereast.  All players are invited to participate in compettive team tryouts, which will have several evaluators using the same evaluation criteria.  Evaluation scores will be totaled and averaged and players will be ranked according to their average evaluation score. The competition committee with select a head coach who has submitted coaching application for each team and will work with the head coach on selecting the comp team roster.  The strong presumption is that the players who evaluated the highest will be selected for the squad. Representatives from Andover, Hebron and Marlborough will be involved in the tryout and selection process.
